The reception staff were incredibly friendly.
The bathroom had a lingering wet smell, which was quite unpleasant. It was strong enough to make the entire room feel damp. Additionally, I was disappointed with the breakfast service. I had to wait over 10 minutes just to be acknowledged.

More fun than I expected!
What a delightful surprise! The stunning historical building paired with a lovely roof terrace makes for a magical stay. The staff went above and beyond, and the breakfast was truly homemade. Waking up to a balcony view of the vibrant walled city was a treat. Can't wait to return!

we returned to this hotel after a previous stay in cartagena, and this time it truly exceeded our expectations. the beautiful colonial decor and stunning rooftop pool made our stay perfect, and the made-to-order breakfast was a delightful start to each day. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our time here.

The hotel features beautiful colonial decor and friendly, attentive staff. I loved the rooftop terrace with stunning views and comfortable seating. The room felt luxurious with a great shower, but it lacked a proper sitting area. The breakfast was excellent, offering fresh juices and a variety of options. I faced minor issues. the hot water shut off for 24 hours due to maintenance, and the furniture felt oddly placed. Despite the occasional noise from the street, the location offered easy access to local attractions, making it a great base for exploring. The rooftop bar closed for food at 2 PM, which limited options later in the day. Overall, I felt secure and welcomed throughout my stay, and I appreciate the help from staff at the front desk.

Soundproofing could use improvement for privacy!!! The staircase location of some rooms makes for early morning noise and a less than restful experience.

A charming stay with some caveats
We enjoyed a comfortable week here, especially the refreshing atmosphere of the rooftop pool after exploring Cartagena's vibrant streets. An exceptional breakfast featuring local and American dishes started our days perfectly. However, note the lack of laundry service and unreliable WiFi. For a safer walk, venture out with company at night.

The location is unbeatable, nestled in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore nearby restaurants and bars. The rooftop pool offered a refreshing escape, and the breakfast was delightful, with great views to accompany excellent food. However, the building's age was felt in some areas, as there were no elevators and certain rooms had a claustrophobic feel due to limited windows. Though the staff was friendly and accommodating, the overall experience had a few drawbacks that overshadowed the positives.
